What's the cheapest car to run 12000 miles pa?

LPG'd 900cc Cinquecento on the 'bay NOW.

 

Sounds like the perfect car for the current climate. :shock:

She will do over 400 miles on £30 LPG at 68p/litre, so I get equivalent of 80 MPG when taking into account standard unleaded at £1.33/litre.

 

She's not the prettiest thing but she fires up first time, every time and with a 100 litre LPG tank in the boot, she got through the snow & ice last winter with no problems (I passed no end of 4 x 4's and stranded cars :)

I reckon a Rover 75 diesel is pretty good for the challenge, helped by 50+mpg and 12k service intervals. They're sub-grand now if you're brave. I'll let you know if bravery is a good idea hopefully...

 

Cheap as a Seicento might be, I'm not sure I'd like to be inside one for longer than five minutes.
