daveb47 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Well i just sold my old Bedford cf campe on greedbay...Any bets that it will be yet another non payer/total moron that has bought it////
jonny69 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 This is the exact reason I still have an old Scenic sat outside. For the sake of £100 I don't think I can actually make myself go through this process. SCRAPMAN
Pete-M Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I sent a 53 plate, tidy but with OMG HGF Citroen C15 van over the bridge of doom this afternoon because the very thought of dealing with ebay fucktards was too much to bear. £160. Result.
Bren Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Sold a rover v8 sump set and clutch fork for the grand total of £6 on ebay. My fees will almost wipe this out. People are only making distress purchases at the mo. I have a few other bits to get rid of, probably easier to take them to the tip. Would'nt dream of flogging a motor on there.
HillmanImp Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Link? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bedford-CF-250-Travelhome-S-1983-/280734361295 Guess its this one? The first photo looks like one of yours Cav.....
wackywacerwill Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Thinking of cashing in the rent and fraging the golf, the merge profit's just not worth the pain.
DCLane Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've a pile of stuff on/sold. Most of it's reached decent prices, although the cycling gear's the only thing that's really made me a profit.
Conrad D. Conelrad Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've put 20 items on in the last couple of weeks - only three haven't sold, the rest have either met or wildly exceeded my expectations. I forgot to uncheck the 'ship worldwide' box and a lot of stuff's been going abroad, so I think I'll offer worldwide shipping on more items in the future. You can complain about eBay's monopoly/fees and you can complain about PayPal's monopoly/fees. But eBay's the only site with the audience to guarantee a decent level of sales and they've got the checkout process nicely streamlined. Also as much as I hated PayPal (I held out until eBay forced it's adoption) it's nice to have the money roll in right away.
DCLane Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've got DVD's and books listed on Amazon, albeit textbooks. Whilst you have to wait for them to sell, it's a lot easier than eBay and Amazon handle everything except price and postage.
