Here goes. Not going to pretend I've not had massive trouble with this motor, but on the plus side it's now running just fine, drives well and (fingers crossed) all the issues have been overcome. Regulars will know about all the OMG MASSIVE PHAIL but basically it's had a new complete engine, refurb turbo and various other bits recently.

 

2001 Leon TDI 110 SE

146k, engine has done 78k, turbo has done 2k and still has 9 months warranty on it.

SE spec so 4x posh windows, climate control (needs gas), leccy mirrors, sports seats etc.

17" Cupra alloys with 2x almost new tyres up front and 2x pretty good ones at t'other end.

Just had a clutch slave cylinder, wishbone, front brakes and catalytic converter.

Pulls well, in fact goes like a bomb. No funny noises, it's doing a 80 mile/day commute without worry.

 

Bad points - aircon needs gas, it's got chavtints on the rear windows, and there's various light scratches on the paintwork but nothing bubbling . There's also a little dent on the front wing that would probably pull out.
