Advertised on behalf of my dad who has decided to change the family fleet of cars over as we have too many, He's looking to sell a VW polo and a Toyota Corolla, not particularly shite but could still be bargain budget motoring for someone.

First up the Polo its a 1996, 1.6 GL - 79.000 Miles

Mot til January, Tax is due this month but will stick another 6 months on for whoever buys it. Bodywork is good etc its been a pretty good family runabout. Drivers door lock doesn't work but its got central locking so all doors unlock fine from the passenger side.

Moving on to the Toyota, Its a 1999, 1.6 GLS its done 120,000 Miles

12 Months MOT Tax Till september, Mechanically excellent its been an extremely reliable family car its the GLS so has front and rear discs some extras like air con rear headrests etc. Cosmetically a bit tatty a couple of scratches on the paint and some blistering on the rear bumper, the alloys have had a hard life. Had 4 New Hankook tyres a few months back.

That Polo looks really nice. I've seen those VW alloys before but I've never seen those embossed VW centre-caps, they usually have black inserts, looks better embossed anyway. Good luck with the sale.

West Sussex? no thanks mate. East Side For Lyfe!

Former stepfather had a corolla similar to that. I think I went in it a couple of times, never drove it. I remember being impressed that it had leccy windows and a cd player and that considering he was well known for being a tight-fisted bastard. I imagine in some ways it was an improvement over the basebasebase Cav it replaced but one of the most forgettable cars I've ever been near.

That said, GLWS I'M SURE IT'S A GREAT CAR GUYS!

I can vouch for the Corolla, it is amazingly spacious when it comes to loading industrial engine hoists in! The Scimitar wouldn't be the car it is today without it hitting the road to pick up parts - and like most Toyota's it never seems to let you down.

Its a car that has constantly exceeded my expectations. I did drive it regularly while working on the scimitar rebuild but its not a car I've bonded with. Its been underused a since my mums upgrade to a mint 29,000 mile Rover 25!
