£1 entry at Knowsley Safari Park for pre 1990 vehicles 23/24

This weekend only, rock up in your pre 1990 motor and you get in at 1970 prices which were a car & up to 6 people for £1!!!

 

They will also have 2 'vintage' Atlantean buses to go round in if you don't fancy using your car. I'm going in the Escort so look out for me if anyone else goes.

When Knowsley Safari Park was in the planning stage at the local council someone raised the question as to what would happen if one of the Lions escaped into the local housing estate. The councillor for Prescot replied by saying "It'll have to take it's chances".

There's a 'safe' route round Knowsley now. We went a few years back (on the non-safe bit) and it was still as funny as ever watching monkeys ripping roof rail covers, windscreen wipers and aerials off cars and a bloody huge one jump on the bonnet of a new Audi and attempting to 'modifiy' it with his fists. Fair play he did a damned good job of it too

Off to Southport tomorrow for the airshow so might call into Knowsley on the way/way back.
