Anyone fancy an 18,000 mile Rover 820e Fastback?

It's a bit of a long long story but I've been speaking to this chap about this Rover 820e he's got with that seems to have only done 18,000 miles.

I had grand plans of going down to Brighton to pick it up for myself and driving it back to Scotland in what would obviously be a completely event free journey.

Anyway I doubt I'll be able to buy it now as I'm at full capacity so i asked the guy if it was okay to post up pictures and information here. The car is nothing to do with me I just thought someone on here might be interested it it.

The car is T&T until July and he wants £700 for it, which if the mileage is genuine seems like a decent price.

I asked him if the 18k mileage was genuine etc and he said..

. It started and drove perfectly ( it had been sitting for a while). It was used once or twice a month for short journeys during the last six years.

I noticed a small scuff on the body coloured bumper offside rear, otherwise the body work and paint is in very good condition, no rust. I have a load of paperwork including old mot certificates the owners manual, v5 etc. I havent had a good look through them yet.

If your interested then PM me and I'll give you his e-mail address..

Bloody hell, nice car. I thought it had already been sold? There is a fella on the rover 800 forum who said he has bought it and posted up the same pics.

If thats not the case I'll let VeryTallBrad know, though I doubt he'll buy it, he already owns the 820e I'm using

Possibly. I got an email from the guy on Monday saying it was still for sale. I've been away all week and this is the first chance I've had to post it.

The fella the Rover forum posted today so I'm guessing its already sold. He'd been speaking to the current owner since Monday when he started the thread.

Ah bollocks. At least it looks like it's gone to a good home.

I know what you mean, I would have been wall over that like flies to crap given the money and space. I really like the dismal Montego-like sounding engines of the 820e, sadly the 820e I'm using will have to go back when my Sterling is eventually given back to me.

Shit the bed, check out the interior. That's got to be genuine mileage.

Ooooo lovely lovely lovely. Except it's a shame it's a MK1b, I like the stubbier Mk1a bumpers. And I never liked those "shouldn't you be on a metro?" wheeltrims.
