Taken in Cape Town in the 60's, next to the Consul / Zephyr, what is it?

:shock: Surely nothing form a major manufacturer? Perhaps its a local fibreglass special?

it looks very like a bespoke fibreglass hard top on a convertible of some sort - saw one like it on a Vitesse once...oin the old days before manufacturers supplied hard tops 3rd party companies used to make them...you could buy kits to DIY as well

Figures that its South African, as the poster on the lamp post is headlined Cape Town.

These things look ace. They were actualy built in England for a bit and there are still a couple running around over here. One of my favourite of the GRP specials, they had a proper FHC model later on called the Flamingo, which is great but mental looking. As usual with this sort of thing there is a dearth of info on the web. Good work finding that pic Vek!
