Mondeo for sale

Off the top of my head I've 10 cars kicking around, only 1 is road legal, this time a year ago 5 were T&T'ed, I'm clearly not keeping up so it's time for a cull. The Mondeo is the newest car in my possession so naturally must be the first to go, it's got a 2.5 V6 engine and it went scary fast. Was my brothers car, he kept it nice until a couple of years ago when within the space of a fortnight both bumpers were damaged by bastards in carparks and some tosser on false plates sideswiped the nearside, he lost interest and went out and bought something Japanese. My plan was to look out for doors and wing in the same colour and carry out a simple nut and bolt repair but it's not happened in 2 ish years so time to cut loose. obviously battery will be duff by now, I'll try to remember to go over this week with jump leads and see if it still starts, from memory it's covered about 100k, £500. Here's some pics.

Doors - wing - paint - bumpers - mot work - mot test -road tax (going up) as well as the buying price makes that 1 expensive Mondeo. Good luck

I don't mean to be rude, but I think you'll struggle to shift it at that price. Sorry!

Please don't take any offence, but if it dosen't have an MoT, with that body damage and current fuel prices, IMHO you will struggle to get £250 for it.

You will get more breaking it, particularly if the leather interior is in good nick and the alloys have good tyres. A banger racer would probably pay £100-150 for the rolling shell once you have stripped it of sellable electric/interior bits and so on.

Agreed. I can go out and pick up an MoT'ed, half-decent Mondeo for £400 - admittedly without the leather but even V6 models are scraping the barrel thanks to OMGPETROLPRICES.

Either get the work done cheaply - fairly sure wings still bolt on at this age - and get a ticket, or you're looking at weighbridge value only.

I will say the seats are in excellent condition, the leather on this age of Ford is a little bit thin and easily worn so you'll probably make three figures on that as a set. Don't be tempted to sell it individually, you'll never shift the bench or doorcards once the front seats have gone.

Thanks guys, no offence taken I'm way out of touch with car prices, I struggle to find time to get anything done so doubt I'd ever get around to breaking it, and then there's the time wasted trying to sell anything. If only the engine was 'self contained' like in the old days, with carbs and distributor, all they needed to run was 12 volts and a can of petrol, I'd make it fit something.

As been said a monkey is a bit strong for a V6 Mondeo, They never make very good money at the best of times, That said they are a great engine and very lively, My old ST24 had the same engine.

I bought this 1.8 Verona about 5 years ago, It had done 120000 miles at the time but failed it's mot and had been sat in a garden for a year, I gave £250 for it, Spend another £250 having a new windscreen fitted and a new sill and it was perfect afterwards, Sold it to my mates brother for £750 a year later and he kept it until a few months ago when it got written off my a drunk driver.

My work colleaugue has got a diesel in the same colour as that Trigger. He's not too happy with me at the moment as I had to give it a dangerous marker when I MOTd it last Friday, as if it was my fault that it decided to burst a brake pipe and piss fluid all over the ramp. Maybe I shouldn't have told him.
