GR11! I take it this is the West Coast Washington? I now challenge you to find the front garden full of 72-74 Challengers just outside of Portland, Or next!

I am guessing that white "DODGE" D-50 pick-up is something from Nissan ? it doesn't look sturdy enough to be from the US of A production lines, the front bumper looks feeble, to say the least : any ideas ?

That SL isn't too bad, we are just not used to seeing do much chrome/stainless "Bling" in conservative UK

Here's my Dodge pickup that I'm driving around in...

With a not so feeble 6.7L V8 Cummins diesel engine.

I'll give it a go - was not far from Portland almost 4 years ago and saw quite a bit of shite back then.

I'm currently based in the wonderful metropolis of Clarkston (Western WA) right on the border with my own private Idaho...

$800 dollars seems reasonable for that flat tyred Ford pick-up. Been seriously tempted to import something like that one day just for shits and giggles.

Do it Cavette! Go on, I would if I were still in UK. A tyre or two wouldn't hold me back, and even if shipping and duties double the cost, what's $800? Do it do it do it do it! You know you want to!

*Edit: looking at the hubs again, I think it's a 4x4 too, how many shite points is that worth now!

I thought this was going to be about Primeras.

The white "DODGE" is a Mitsubishi!

Dankershun Lukas ! I was close ....

As for that HUMUNGOUS Dodge RAM 2500, Gtd, it looks pregnant  is it about to give "berth" to the QE2 :

that bonnet bulge is obscene !! only joking, there are a few gross F250's out here on the island too, some of the s-t-r-e t-c-h

versions hanging about the US Air Force Base here look like they should sag in the middle; but they don't ...

I love 'em really, and with gas only $3 US a galleon, on the base, there's all sorts of beasties lurking in there

- here's a typical Dodgy example....

eBaY.com is throwing up some kwal old chod, a fair bit of which is very well priced. Just waiting on shipping costs though I'm pretty sure the whole shebang will be out of my budget.

That's not a great statistic - then again I do get out of here every 3rd weekend for a break back in Florida or wherever, so, hopefully.. it'll not come to that!

I think the place looks brilliant, it's full of grotty old motors and plain looking buildings. My sort of town!

Posted

When I flew in, two weeks ago - the place had the appearance of every household having their own personal "wrecking yard" in the garden

I've put the Japanese stuff over on your site

Yeah I was in the tri-city area last Sunday and heard about that plant (I think it's the same one you mentioned?)

I've done the Columbia River Gorge area in 2007 - beautiful part of the country (spent 6 months East of there in The Dalles) - intend to head back that way during the summer at some point too.

I'm staying as far East as I can get right now - in Clarkston right on the edge of Idaho.

Might try a stint in Walla Walla next month to see if it's all it's cracked up to be, University town, good food, great wine bars etc.

Pity work gets in the way really!

You gotta learn to love the stink of paper pulp to live in Walla.... if you can handle the mash, you can handle the wine!

Was in Walla Walla this morning but didn't notice the smell - however, as from yesterday I've noticed a certain smell in the Clarkston area - there's a papermill there for sure.

See some good shite there? Maybe it's on the outskirts more so? That's usually where I'm trolling for Capri stuff....

Yeah there's a crapload of stuff around that way!

Couldn't stop at the time and it was raining - will try to get some photos next time I'm over that way though :)

I'll see if I can locate some of the stuff via Google streetview

i like the "famous potatoes" slogan. Maybe we should petition for regional numberplate slogans in the UK.

"Essex- Home of Chavs"

"Nottingham- Murder capital of Britain"

Better still, we could incorporate road SAFTY into them:

"Bradford- There is a 30% chance I'm uninsured"

"Cornwall- Driver unlikely to be able to see further than 5 metres ahead- on a good day"

any others?
