air-cooled Skodas

I suspect RONGNESS is creeping into JM's work...

Saw one the other day on a 60-plate, had do a double take on seeing the plate.

Wasn't a white one with alloys was it? Saw that one around Old Hill a few weeks ago.

Oh dear. "Air cooled Skoda" is rather a schoolboy error, as Mr Pog suggests. He doesn't really lambast it though does he? I mean, my Land Rover handbook contains things like explanations for how the door locks work.

Hmm. I'm now thinking he didn't write it, but some poorly paid office lad did.

'Fluted exterior door handles like a Marina' - am I missing something?

Apparently it doesn't have locking hubcaps either? Is this new wave post modernism irony, or did he run this report off on the throne one day and not read it back?

Wonder if it’ll go the same way as importing the Hindustan Ambassador, or the cancelled Korean government order of Tatra 613-3s? Fullbore Motors in the 1990s had my kind of optimism, and probably my kind of business sense too

While I respect your viewpoint, I still think you should pharque off and insert your XBox into your most uncomfortable orifice.

Top Gear Top Tip for James May: Google "Skoda Estelle radiator"

Pleasantly surprised by that article, you would never get that kind of thoughtful consideration of opinion (inaccuracies excepted) for something like that on the TV show, heck they wouldn't even bother giving it the time of day! It's bordering on TG doing what it used to do & was set up to do, informing us about & reviewing different cars for our delectation. It's obvious they are saving being sensible for the website & possibly the magazine, because it's not as 'entertaining'

I expected to see some kind of modern day take on the original concept as they had tried to do with other Lada models, but it appears very much as it left us! I always thought the Niva had a very surprised look about it!
