Great thread Trig On a related note the Post Office Telephones stuff has always fascinated me, they seemed to run some really old stuff right up to the 1990s and sometimes beyond!

a great thread, I remember when I was a kid they used Bedford HAs and marina vans at the PO by me. I only ever saw EAs after they'd been sold on from the post office in shoddy condition.

Being a country lad we had the series 3 LandRover delivering our mail when I was a kid, I remember some tale about the postie taking a short-cut across some open ground in the snow to cut out a long sweep in the road & the snow plough tried to follow him & got stuck!
