INDECENT PROPOSAL: FREE 1275 ENGINE!

Got a proposal for anyone interested in earning a free (?) 1275 A series engine with 64k on her, running very well but clutch needs attention. I have a 1380 that needs installing, the deal is, you remove the running 1275 from my ADO16 Austin 1300 to keep, all I ask is you put the 1380 in its place and put ancillaires on from the 1275 and hopefully get it running? A fair amount of work but no cash will change hands although I may pay some extra if the 1380 is all up and running once in, deal or no deal?? Sorry if I sound like I am taking the p*ss lol!

Thats a good deal- i'm too far away to do it but just to clarify, does the gearbox need swapping too?

Here's an indecent proposal back for you! Ask keef to lend you an ado16 towbar. Drive across to NI, I'll do the swap (I've done my own 1100 in a day on a 'few' occasions) and I'll even let you leave the trailer here to avoid ferry costage!

The standard engine and box would be complete. Its just a matter of one out, one in and taking the bits from the 1275 to put on the 1380. I would even leave the original carb on her, along with exhaust manifold! How generous am I????

Still no takers? The other engine is on fleabay now so if it sells I am going to get the original sorted with new clutch etc.
