retrogeezer Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 makes me laugh that people like this don't have 3 seconds to wait for you to complete your crossing of the road but like to stop, get out and argue the toss with you for 5 minutes!
Lankytim Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 If he drove at you and actually hit you with is car its an arrest-able offence! Get him locked up for the night .
worldofceri Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Don't do your home city and it's people down. There are tits like him absolutely everywhere.
eddyramrod Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Yes, Ceri's right, they are everywhere. Tim's also right, what he did could be construed as attempted murder as he had already stopped and clearly knew you were there. Have him in. I'm assuming you got his number? If so, how about posting it here so we can all laugh at him? That should wind him up a bit...
Lankytim Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I don't know about attempted murder but I read about a lorry driver who tried to drive off while he was being clamped- the clampers were simply stood next to his lorry as he pulled away. They called the police and he was arrested, although what for I can't remember.
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Isn't there a thread for posts like this?
eddyramrod Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I proceed further when the guy accelerates towards me, and the pram. I just get out of the way and get rapped by his wing mirror Show me a court that wouldn't convict on, at the very least, assault with intent. Attempted murder isn't very far from that.
pogweasel Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Show me a police officer who would act upon it first. Had a similar incident a couple of years ago, the Feds weren't even interested.
Cavcraft Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I don't know, it's always worth asking the rozzers and seeing what they say. Some twat in a van ran a red light on a pedestrian crossing when my dearly beloved was crossing with my son in his pram many moons back. SWMBO got his number and called the coppers so they pulled him somewhere and he coughed to it. Don't know what happened to him but shows the police will act when they can.
eddyramrod Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Scooters has the distinct advantage of a pile of witnesses. I'm sure "Penelope Keith" will stand up and say her piece, she doesn't sound like someone who would let such lunacy pass. I say call the cops and go for it, and I'm a pretty forgiving sort of bloke on the whole.
scooters Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 well - the old dear with the phone got his number and reported it so we'll see what happens - probably a slap on the wrists. and no Leaonard, I didn't know there was a thread for this sort of post so I apologise for you having to waste your valuable time in reading it - but then again - you didn't have to
