While in the loft looking for the copy of 'Hot Car' mentioned in the 'Mayflower' thread, I came accross a pile of CMs I didn't know I had... :D

Brilliant! :P

CM will always have a special place in my heart, as I came 3rd in the novice class of its DIY Mechanic of the Year competition in 1997 (sadly a one-off) and I bought The Volvo and The Volvo 2 from ex-editor Peter Simpson :)

Anyone remember the "Scratch Patch?" I remember they gave some away with Car Mechanics mags.. I've got some '60's and '70s copies, but no scanner... :(

I don't remember the "Scratch Patch", but I do remember "Auto Film" in the early 1990s, which I gather was more or less the same thing. I used it on my father's Fiesta and soon wished that I hadn't, as the car's front end looked liked it was covered in Mercury Grey sticking plasters afterwards

Brilliant!

Could Joe Public get a MkV 'Tina on a T-plate? That one - plus similarly-registered models used on "The Professionals" - are the only ones I've ever seen on a T.
