Hi guys, Im so gutted and so angry to be having to make this post. My brookie has been stolen by some theiving piece of ******* scum this evening. Reg no is E471BFG. She was taken from RIverside Park, in Southampton sometime between 5.30- 6.45pm. I'll post up some more details in a little while, at the moment just in bits She was brought for me by Tony only about 6 months before he died & I've only just recently put her back on the road. I will upload some pics to the net as well.

Please keep your eyes peeled for my lady

Alison

That's terrible! I really hope that it turns up in one piece, although I doubt that it will, sadly :( :( :(

I hope the scumbag gets a good kicking if found. Sadly these thefts seems to be getting more common :(

horrible wee shites -

last night a bunch of Neds went up the road by the back of ours - nice middle class edinburgh and kicked every single wing mirror off every vehicle parked in the street....

wee shites should be strung up by their balls

The penalties for vandalism should be as harsh as those for theft - ultimately it costs the victims heaps in insurance premiums - I reckon the vandalism to the 205 gti I had has cost me around £1000 due to the effect it has had on my other premiums

I would recommend that if you have a car more than 10 years old you buy the most expensive steering wheel lock you can afford - the ones that go over the whole wheel seem to be the best in the business - just acts as a 'clear off' deterrent - after any self respocting shitter can hot wire a 1980's car without an immobilzer and these wee scrotes are experts at it

The light fingered little bstards need arse raping with a rusty chainsaw, along with my security i make sure my dogs are out with me when im messing about that way scrotes from the surrounding area see them, you know how scum communicate and warn each other off, the deterrent seems to have worked up to yet.

Gutted :(

I bought an exhaust off her for my LS... Hope it gets returned to her safe and sound

A simple and more humane answer is to have 24 hour courts and bailiffs so if you are apprehended you go straight to trial, fined and if you can't pay there and then your widescreen tv and Corsa are uplifted to cover the damage.

Remember those photos of vandalised rare Land Rovers in Norway prior to the big auction in Norway last year?

Turns out the wee shites who committed those acts have been punished so harshly that their parents are having to sell their houses to pay the fines.

That's how it should be, the little bastards won't be allowed to forget that! I do hope the Capri turns up, fit and well.

Personally I am of the punishment fitting the crime camp. If it's a kid committing auto vandalism, wait till they get a car, maybe they have to scape to fix it up (or maybe put themselves/mummy/daddy into debt to get it). The a policeman goes over to theirs, call them out and proceeds to set about it with a sledge hammer. NO insurance claim can be entertained, NO extra cost to society. If they are thieving, just take similar parts/cars/possessions and sell them, giving the money to the people they stole off. Big shame if they have a family that gets into hardship, they should have thought of that when they were up to no good. OH, and if they loose a job directly because of criminal activity (or the punishment) they can't claim benefits. If they go back to crime, just shoot them. Maybe castration (cos it's largely lads) to stop them breeding at the first re offence.

I don't remember this, got a link?

Bastids...

1st offence should be a huge fine with removal of possessions to the value if they can't pay.

2nd offence should be custodial followed by service to queen and country on minimum wage with the rest going to the victim.

3rd offence 25 years hard labour, not a soft open jail with TV's, because if they get caught three times then they really must be stupid and don't deserve any better.

I really hope the Capri turns up. I know how upset I would be if my PnJ got nicked. I'd be looking to hurt someone.

Oh No!!

This is awful!!

I am so sorry to read this with your Capri . .

The fact this is an older car should surely mean it is cherished??

I am praying the old girl gets found in one piece for you!

This makes me feel sick to my stomach actually as this is your pride and joy!!

Take care

Hi Fred

Long time no speak

Tall Brad here with my first post.

What you have said here is so extreme I should be disagreeing with at least part of it. But I find myself cheering. You are spot on. It's the half a percent that ruins it for the 99 and a half percent isn't it? This is why we need insurance, guard dogs, locks and alarms. And deterrents that are more fitting to actually work. I sincerely hope this Capri is recovered.

Should you? Why, exactly? Extreme is the only thing these idiots will understand.

And welcome to Autoshite, by the way! :D

I think what VTB is referring to is the policy of some fora of "no violence or advocation thereof".

On Autoshite, the advocation of castration with a rusty hacksaw is not only condoned, but actively encouraged.
