West Africa and a prosperous place as per the photos until the civil war tore it apart in the 80s. The county has been struggling to recover ever since and is still a failed state. Real shame as it is rich in natural resources and could provide well for its people had it not breen but felched by Cuban south Africans and the cia not to mention the Portuguese and various mining consortia for years.

Personally I really doubt any of the african countries will sort themselves out for many many years to come. There is the underlying 'tribe' issue. Every african knows what tribe he's from and what tribe anyone that he meets is from. That effects the way he treats that person. He will only be 100% honest to one of his own (ever!) which means that a country can only improve if the government is all one tribe. Unfortunately that also means that any other tribes in that country will at best become second class citizens, at worse they'll be slaughtered.... meanwhile whoever has any power at all will line their own pockets and sod everyone else. so sad.

I've been there. Went round in my uncle's 1975 Honda Civic. Almost certainly far better for getting out of the way of an angry buffalo than an A40.

I think you'll find the A40 more than a match for the buffalo, besides, I'm sure the Austin driver had a huge gun!

To go back to the original WTF and first post, yes they did make a 5 door Colt 1100F, apparently called a Colt 11F.

This is the only image I can find on the whole net.

I'm a member of that minority that admits to appreciating C20 architecture, and I like this:

EDIT: And still in use, 50 years on!
