Mate of mine just mailed me and he has a 406TD estate for sale. 6 months MOT tax' just about to run out' 127k miles and wants £375 ish for it. He says it smokes when cold and is a bit lumpy or has a misfire then (after 1/2 a mile) is fine.

You can have a Volvo 740 estate, but it's petrol not diesel. And only if you've got something economical and smaller to swap with me

Going to look at a '74 Mercedes 240D auto shortly......the epitome of classic shite, methinks. Body is allegedly mint, as is the interior, and it's got a tow bar, which I need. I know these have glacier like accelerarion, but will they cruise at 70 without deafening the occupants? Answers please classic dizzler fans................
