Guest Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Through the wisps of smoke created by the 480's tail lights, I high tailed it to the Ace Cafe whereby a nomination for best photograph of the year awaited. Autoshite picked up the award for the best website. At the moment GIMP will not resize the shots I took. I'm in the midst of an all out ruck twixt assignments and GT5 at the moment, so I will update this when I can, and will include a full report with the rest of the pictures my desktop PC refused to process earlier this morning. A massive thank you goes out to Seth who put me up \ put up with me for the night so that I didn't have to do a Manchester - London - Manchester round trip in one hit. I can also confirm that his local baker is excellent. Amazon legend Paul H and his 222S daily driver. K11 Micra with controversial Boso exhaust. Subaru Brat pickup bulit with a much loved Tamiya model in mind. It runs an EJ20 turbo engine from an Impreza WRX (GC8) and has had a feature in a recent issue of Retro Cars. As ever, the selection of vehicles on show was diverse. The Lincoln Continental pictured was suitably enormous and occupied most of the car park. Nova Saloon with some interesting modifications (awaits fury of certain members). Dido could not be heard from the trunk. More to come. Stay tuned.
Mr H Sceptre Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Autoshite picked up the award for the best website. Seriously??

Guest Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 MOAR PICS. If you have a sharp eye for detail, you will recall that this is the very Amazon estate that raced me at Santa Pod. I lost, in best Jacques - Jacques Liverot style. Grunty Interceptor III relatively early on in the evening. Thought a few OSF fans here might like this. It was for sale too. I stayed overnight at Seth's. 480 rear cluster doing a remarkable impression of a fish tank. The Family_Seth. All lights working and correct. Wipers also functioning. Brilliant. Scenes similar to this one meant it took SIX SODDING HOURS to get back to Manchester. Any regrets? I wish my tripod hadn't broken, and that I'd actually been inside when the awards were handed out.
seth Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 And my hand cleaner. THIEF! Have I? In the dungeon? I feel for your 6 hour London-Manchester pain Wat.
Gompo Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Where are the giants? Thanks for the pics, I do like that Brat.
