Bollocks, I had saved the dealerplates link last year, on the back of the Sierra post above. Shouldn't have shilly-shallied on getting fresh plates for my car as the originals are tired.

I've just had a new pair made up for the Sunny because the front one was the new narrow font. I used:

www.masterplate.co.uk

They do the old style font and will put any text along the bottom - I was lucky because the dealer name was just a basic line of text with no logos but maybe they'lll do that if you ask. I also got the rear plate slightly oversize as per the original on these.

Its a shame that dealerplates has gone as I was also planning on using them in the future. I have found this link on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-UK-OLD-F ... 35b898cbdf anyone used them? the font (not it the picture but the one that lists it complete in the ad) looks abit more like serck (mainly the U & S along with others), what do you think?

^^^ The font on that link does look to be the same as the plates that were on my old C-reg Fiesta, laminated plastic but clearly marked "Serck Marston" to the bottom right.

If you want the slightly older, 'computer type' plates that Serck produced in stamped metal, I have previously had a pair made up by A1 Plates in Leicester. Admittedly in plastic rather than pressed tin, but the font is correct.

and select 'Euro Style' in place of UK Style.

These are great, all saved for later on. Though its still a shame that you cant insert your own dealer logo.
