I seem to have acquired an extremely rusty late A35 van, that's been off the road for 30-odd years. No idea what to do with it, will go nicely with the equally rotten A50 though...

 

I'd have loved this one (looked pretty good at Stondon...) I've not had an 'interesting' road legal car for ages...

That's a rare bastard! 1200 B Series naughtiness, the Austin equivalent of a Morris Cowley. Neck snapping.

Is that the same engine as the A40 Somerset? I had one of those as a courtesy car once (don't ask...) and it was probably the most gutless car I've ever driven. Made the A35 feel like a rocket ship.

It certainly is. Our Somerset was certainly no rocket ship...

I picked this up tonight & I have to send a big thank you to A. Dicky, what a car! I drove it from Saaarfend to London around the M25 and although I doubt I got above 50 mph it was just lovely to drive. To cap it all there was a full tank of petrol and it was spankingly clean! I've now done over 150 miles in the first evening and it's just wonderful! Cheers mate!

No problem Torsten, I have to say I was worried it was going to break down as it hasn't really been used since I started using the Cambridge in October!

 

I hope you have lots of fun with it, and maybe we need some updated pictures of it surrounded by other tat in the dungeon?
