Is that sign to tell the passengers that the trains might be late or cancelled?

This popped up on a local Facebook group. Amazingly, despite it being full of motor enthusiasts, it took quite some time to identify the car.

We did have quite a few American curios around in the 70s and 80s owing to the nearby bases.

Anyway, what a peach.Ā

Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Dark blue car is a mid-70s Mopar C-Body. Ā Chrysler Newport, Dodge Monaco, or Plymouth Fury. Ā New Yorker and Imperial used the same body but those typically had vinyl roofs. Ā Lighter blue car is a 1971-73 Pontiac Ventura.

Yes, around 1975 I was training for my PSV license and during one session drove a double decker over that. A rather daunting experience at the time as there was not a lot of margin for error.

Looking at the shape of the rear wing end I think it is a Mk2 Consul Highline.

Carbodies prototype of an FX4 replacement using a load of Range Rover panels, I didnā€™t know any ever entered service. I thought Rover said no owing to what it could do to the reputation of their 4x4.
