The M152 is essentially the Czech Pacer. Though they predate the Pacers by a decade there are still lots in service. Built by Vagonka Studénka. Studénka is a town near Ostrava in eastern CZ (which would have been central Czechoslovakia before the split) so roughly translates as Studénka Wagonworks. It is now a subsidiary of Škoda Transportation who have no link now to Škoda Auto. Powered by LIAZ engines who were a Czech truck manufacturer also a Škoda subsidiary. 

There are still a few in CZ, quite a lot in Slovakia but if you really want to find some they still form the majority of branch line trains in Hungary though some have been heavily refurbed. 

I took these in April. This is at Vác.
