Clatty Pat's in Great Western Rd,

how is the camel - did it get the hump too!

last time I was there, it was down to the head only

Radio Clyde used to be great - all those Barrowland live concerts, Tiger Tim and Paul Coia ... (well, the concerts were good, don't know about the rest). It had one advantage over STV - no Glenn Michael and Paladin.

The last time I was in Clatty Pat's was about 15 years ago - great memories!

Cleopatras was great - had some fab times there, met some lovely girls too, especially nurses from the Western General

Steve Right should fuck right off and be replaced by Richard Allinson , hes so much better and pleasing to listen too , shame hes on at such a stupid hour , still listen on the I-player when i can , ie. now

Commercial radio would need a million percent change for the better to get me to listen to it. Cheesey/'funny'/'outrageous' DJs and a fifteen hundred adverts an hour featuring some patronising twat with a fake northern accent trying to offload double glazing isn't good listening.

OMG CHRIS EVANS ARE / ARE NOT RUBBARSH. (delete as applicable)

Groundhog day again I see.

Ok if you insist........OMG CHRIS EVANS ARE RUBBARSH.

The guy is a monsterous twat and so is Fuckwit Partridge and Steve Wright (down the pan), well they are in my opinion anyway

I listen to Chris Evans on the way to work. Cheers me up. I used to listen to Wogan. Evans is as good, which is a feat if you're a fan of Wogan on radio.

en Bruce's Popmaster is something I have to do every morning. It's gone insanely hard lately.

Jeremy Vine plays Devil's Advocate rather well for a couple of hours. If I'm in a bad mood I'll flick around the dial for a while.

Local radio pisses me off. I hate adverts at the best of times, I don't want to drive to work with "Maincrest Car And Van Hire, 733 3201" trying to brainwash me into hiring a Transit. City FM is one of the better ones, as it happens. Their football coverage (Liverpool and Everton only, but that's all that matters anyway) is probably the best there is.

Back to Jeremy Vine for a while. See what's goin' on on the allotment.

Maybe a cd for a while.

Steve Wright is only any good if it's "Ask Elvis" and that's pretty rare now.

Simon Mayo is surprisingly excellent on the way home. I never thought I'd say that, but he's morphed into someone who can't resist a one liner and tends to make me laugh a lot more often than he ever managed before.

Mark Lamarr pulls some excellent old tunes out of the hat late on. Pretty exclusively '50s stuff, but there are some brilliant tunes I've never heard before.

.

Fuck me, we must be bruvvas. Well, I'm scouse by birth.......

I liked Wogan, but like Chris Evans too. I've never had a problem with him tbh.

Used to hate Ken Bruce but appreciate him now as a good DJ. Record of the week is too often some appalling rubbish from Scouting For Girls or some such toss which is a shame.

Jeremy Vine's not bad, a bit Daily Mail tho.

Steve Wright is an obnoxious loud mouth wanker, can't fucking stand him, his wanker sycophants and him singing over good records. SHUT UP YOU FAT CUNT!!!!!

Simon Mayo is good...................and so is that mad woman on Radio 2 about 6-7am. Totally barking but funny for it. I liske both Annie Nightingale and Janice Long Wave.

Great DJ's were DLT and Alan Freeman. Tony Blackburn is an utter legend, and Smooth Radio plays a lot of good stuff - Tina Turner rather than Beyonce. Eamonn Kelly had an annoying voice but was a great DJ, really interactive - but I think they had a clearout and he went recently.

Radio Luxembourg was the Daddy though back in the late 70's early 80's, on the old 208 signal. The DJ with MS who sounded like he was pissed, and the adverts for Babysham and also for a slimming product called 'Aids'. I kid you not.

Tony Blackburn is an utter legend,

Heh, he's back on Radio 2 doing the 'pick of the pops' thing on a Saturday afternoon. That thing Fluff used to do, playing the weeks charts from 1967 or whatever. Monumentally cringeworthy in a high cheddar fashion. Funny though.

The 'mad woman' on BBC2 at 6 - 7:30am was Sarah Kennedy, who has gone because of various 'issues' - actually the rumour was she was half cut most of the time - impressively early in the morning to be drinking :D .

I guess the rappers reference to a G6 is about a Gulfstream exceutive jet, the latest version of which is the mark 6 or similar.

Damned shame. Legendary drinker though!
