O/T - I need some PC help please!

Yesterday i downloaded some registry program for my computer (which I've now deleted), and now everytime i go on a page with flash player the page freezes, I get a Adobe flash player needs installing message come up (which it won't let me do) then this message comes up.

I'm not every good with computers and i can't work out how to fix it, It's pissing me right off though, I've removed flash player, reloaded it again then deleted it again, I can only get websites with flash up (which seems like most of them) if i go on them with the add-ons disabled.

 

 

I don't even have clue what I'm talking about! any one got any ideas?

Uninstall Flash again, and then try this:

Internet Explorer can't hack it anymore.

 

And then install Flash manually:

Thanks Station, I'm just running the cleaner, Been on 4% for a while, I just hope it doesn't wipe my hard drive, the amount of music and photos/road test i have on it!

That CCleaner is great - used to be called 'Crap Cleaner', don't worry as it only deletes old system files, internet history and other such crud.

There is also a registry option on that too, which cleans up your Windows registry - give that a run too.

Also, what version of Windows have you got? And anti-virus?

I'm not sure what version I'm on, I think it's XP 8 and I used AVG Free as well.

Ah OK - might be worth downloading Windows Defender from Microsoft too, it's free.

 

And that really should be moving on from 4%....

I have already got Windows Defender it seems, and i think the crap cleaner is working as it has a code pop up every now and then and the PC is making that strange noise which it makes when it's working, I guess it needs a really good clean, I don't think it's done a deep clean since I've had it and it must be 4 years old now.
