*WARNING* - not proper 100% old shite thread alert....

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to track the whereabouts of a Mk4 Golf GTi that me and the ex used to own. It's a 2000 W-reg 2.0 GTi in Jazz Blue, registration is W834 UAB.

Picture of how it looked when sold...

I recently did a check on DVLA and it's come up as untaxed since June and a further HPi report has revealed it's been involved in some kind of accident and is Cat D listed :(

I don't know where the car is as it was sold at a garage just west of Stowmarket in Suffolk last year so I'm presuming it's in that area still. I know it's a long shot but if anybody could help me out on where it may be (first thoughts being the local frag yard) or any information on last owners of the car as I would be interested in a possible re-purchase of the car as it was a bloody nice car to drive and looked as well as it went!

Sorry if this isn't proper Autoshite to a lot of people, it's just me being sentimental at the end of the day - I won't be disappointed if nothing happens! Thanks in advance people 8)

I should imagine it's being sprayed in blackboard paint and sporting aa beer can on the bonnet as we speak.

The American VW crowd call that engine the '2 point slow'.

 very true indeed, oh and the roofrack with various household white goods attatched to it.

That engine likes a good drink of oil too, I bet it is in China now being turned into the latest gadget

Hmmm, given that its been in an accident then maybe your best hope of finding it is if its at someplace such as Copart. Long shot though, probably being broken for bits. Wheels will have been fitted on a Mk2 Polo or something with a OMG RAT LUK paint finish.
