what the proper name for the construction machinery vehicle thingy is that has a plough behind its front wheels that ploughs stuff off to the side.

I agree with simmo here, this being a grader. There is another construction vehicle with a cab at the front with a plough behind the front wheels, but yep, forgotten its name.

Tried googling, but my mental block extended to finding decent search criteria. Also, Caterpillar site keeps defaulting to the Chinese site which is riddled with pop-ups and therefore gets the "not in them shoes son" treatment. one million bulldozers later, I thought I'd try here.

also as the purpose is to remove overly large rocks, the middle mounted blades will be at a fairly constant hight, which it wouldn't be if it was front mounted....
