Out of curiosity I ground down the lip on the old discs to see what thickness they actually were.

New 20mm, minimum 18mm. There was probably a bit more lip I could've taken off too. The pads weren't too bad so someone had replaced them when the discs were fucked.  

I had a quick prod at the dead parking sensor, my scanner had told me it was the LH rear. 

Handily you don't need to remove the bumper but can get in by removing the tail light. Got it out and no, I've no idea why it doesn't work🤷‍♂️

New one ordered up and we'll get that sorted.

I'm thinking I might not tax it til April (expensive tax sadly) and crack on with servicing and fettling it in the meantime.

No. There is enough Jags here. But I get an uneasy feeling that I may, at some point, end up with it.

The service kit arrived this week so I thought I'd reward it for passing the MOT

Assume the position

Cabin filter was easy and definitely needed. New on in.

Air filter was boggin

I dropped the oil into my halfords drain can which decided to drain it all over the driveway 🤬

Insert big cat joke here...

Fuel filter next. I had to cut part of the plastic undertray to get to it as a couple of bolts were just spinning on their studs

A nice bonus was ice cold aircon when I started it on the first warm day of the year

A quick spin was had to try it out, it is a very nice place to be and definitely more special than the E65 730d of a similar vintage. It has that unique Jag thing of excellent body control but an ability to handle far better than something this size and comfort should.

Not much to report on this, I've had a couple of drives in it and it is a nice thing. I suspect it may not be around for too long though as I have enough other shite on my hands to keep me occupied.

I'd like to get a few nice days out in it first to enjoy it a bit more but it'll likely be advertised for sale in the next few months.
