All good in the hood, need to give it a run to bed everything in but the short test drive gave me confidence. So... all being well its good for its trip to Goodwood next weekend   still need to sort the brake lights though...

I think the moral of the story is, if it aint broke dont fix it. I may fit a new/refurbished OEM master cylinder just to keep me happy and confident with it.

Not had too much time to go for a run in the car yet but did top off the gearbox oil (to make sure I don't cook it again) engine oil and coolant all still there too. Managed to swap out the rubber pedals for some new repro items, the original brake and clutch pedals were very worn. Will try and use it in the week for a run to work just to make sure its good for a 300 mile round trip. Steering feels nice and direct too though I'm not sure how that will feel on a long run, not sure ill have the time to get it roughly aligned before the weekend. Other than that it just needs a really good clean.

More test driving done, nothing too mad distance wise, brakes work well so far. Really need to look at wiring the fuel gauge back in as i may have ran out...... luckily the wife and kids were in the car behind me just in case of an issue....

Brake lights now sorted, added a motorcycle pull style switch under the car that attaches to the bottom of the pedals pivot assembly. Easy to adjust if needed, slight touch of the pedal does nothing but got it set to illuminate as I start adding a little pressure.

Nice solution ... and being a motorcycle part should be weather proof !
