Bought the Cavalier from it's original owner, a man who still looked exactly like he would've walked into a Vauxhall showroom in 1989 to replace his gold Mk2 Cavalier SR with a a new Mk3 Cavalier SRi. He now drives a Vectra SRi...

The buses are all pretty easy to trace history wise, the Wartburg and Courier Kombi are both forrins (though the Courier at least is now in it's third country - it originated in Germany), I've had the Focus from new and the 126 was new about 15 miles away and I bought it from it's second owner... my mate, who got it as part of a garden clearance...

Torsten's Polo Coupe was once owned by me 8)

That car qualifies for inclusion in my top two most unreliable cars, number 1 being a Wolseley Wedge.

I almost cried with joy when it went! Looked good though!

In my time I had:

Englebert Humperdinck's Daimler Sovereign Series 2

Tim Yeo MP's Nissan 200

Just answering this to keep it above the spam flood!

I had a Renault 11 TXE Electronic that was owned by Newcastle United and was given to a striker called David somethingorother - possibly David Owen though I know nothing of football and care even less.

His sister lives in the next street to me, apparently (as does Heather Mills-McCartney's dad) and the local kids were used to seeing him visit her in it.

They would see me coming and flock round the car waiting for autographs - until I stepped out to a loud collective groan spiced with choice expletives and blasphemous utterings :D

They are a rare beast indeed now!

Sorry, I meant I almost cried with joy when the Polo went, the wedge was shite but very special, everytime I drove it something pretty major would go wrong with it. It survived and even featured in a mag about two years after I sold it to someone in South Wales, I am trying to find a photo somewhere!

Really?? I'd have punted it on ebay if it was a dog, but it did no wrong when I owned it.

Sorry dude :(

Previous owner of my Escort 1.6 was the Royal Ulster Constabulary. Dirt cheap too. My Dad's red Maestro was the actual car that was at the Ulster Motor Show, and his blue one was first registered to the TGWU boss.

My Samba was bought from motorcycle racer Sam Martin, who was sadly killed a few months ago.

Oh, and my Metro GTi was in Max Power once.

Oh god! Don't be sorry! It was a cheap car that now has a good home but it would the wierdest things like lose all it's oil in two days without leaking & being driven less than 20 miles and deciding by itself whether it would start or not. The final straw came after driving to the supermarket, popping in for bread & milk and coming out to find it devoid of any electrics, no obvious problems, waiting 2 hours for the AA and trying to start it continually while I waited only for it to start on the button as soon as they turned up, got it home and it had run out of oil again. I got the arse with it then!

I had cleaned it up well though and it did look magnificent!

Good man.

What was the mag; do you remember?

Hmm, trying to think of other ones.

I had a Mk2 Escort RS2000 that originally belonged to Merseyside Police's traffic division. XEM 649W. About two from the end of RHD production it was. XEM 651W was, I think, the last RHD Mk2 RS built. Was also Merseyplod. I've got a lapel badge of it somewhere, given to me by one of the cops who drove them.

Mate of mine had a Merc E class that he bought from Mike Batt of Wombles and Katie Melua fame.

I've owned something else with a famous previous owner, but I can't remember wtf is was.

My 323 was originally owned by BMW and loaned to Motor magazine for a year and 12,000 miles.

I do have all 4 reports from the magazine and a letter from the scribe who drove for the 12k. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

My Amazon was apparently owned by the head chef of the Adelphi in Liverpool and then by a correspondant for Reuters.

My 306 was owned by the 1997 Bolton Wanderers physio - the garage did a sponsorship deal to supply them with cars. It's in the corner of a publicity shot somewhere.

My Piazza had 11 owners from me, was badly filmed spinning off a roundabout in Colchester (and then posted on YouPube) and then subsequently valued by WeBuyAnyShit at £95.
