pogweasel Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 So, I have a mint and unused I <3 my Jalopy sticker, and I was wondering what I should do with it... I am currently on another 'shite embargo' due to (a) poverty and ( the market for disgustingly shit old cars moving ever further from the pocket-change budget. Would it be 'wrong' to stick this sticker on my car.... A 1992 3-series would have been the total antithesis of "Jalopy" when the sticker was produced, an overly expensive swank-mobile... but these days it's really quite close to the Joypal ethos - cheap to buy, unfettered by unnecessary gizmos, and reliable in the face of age-related adversity. So should I stick it (the car is for keeps, it's worthless but dependable) or save it (will probably either get lost or ruined by errant offspring) or sell (making £0.01 on ebay).... Do you have an opinion*? *in a trivial, like it actually matters BBC news kind of way. Here is an example of said sticker attached to bona-fide shite:Picture c/o Seth.
trigger Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Stick it to the Bemmer and start living the dream
Vin Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I once had a Joypal sticker. It came with my Joypal. I stuck its stickiness on my Panda. So STICK IT like I stuck it.
Milford Cubicle Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 When will you use it if you don't use it now? I know forum regular Richard also has a minty unuised JOLAPY sticker! I think it'd be a treat fixed to his offensive Volvo 940 diesel wagon.
Richard Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I do, but I can't find it, or any of the earlier issues.
CreepingJesus Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I miss Jellypie, 'twas rather good. Wear your heart on your sleeve and sticker up the BM. Defo. I've got a whole bunch of old stickers I never got round to using, including some from the much missed Car+Car Conversions.
mouseflakes Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I voted 'Stick it'. Better that it's out there being seen and bringing joy(pal) to all. Did you see the telly programme where James May bought the incredibly rare, mint and boxed toy train, took it out the box and played with it? Well - stickers were made for sticking where everyone can see them. I also vote for 'Vin - what's the story with that Renner 20?'
Father Ted Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I too have one attached to issue 2. I will sAve it for the day I own some trulsy award winning shite,
