Scottish Italian stuff

From Scottish Italian day today.

was absolutely shocked to be parked next to another Tipo sedicivalvole, which deservedly won best in show as it was mint.

my Tipo made it through and back no worries and it was nice to actually take it for a long drive for the first time. Shite on fuel though 😂

Looks like a great day - was toying with the idea of going myself, it's been years since I made it (must have been the year before Covid in the silver Seicento I had then) but cocked up holiday dates so

start a week off work tomorrow and couldn't get the additional time. Tipo looks great in that company, although sad it'll be the first one in ages without your Punto I suspect.

I was going to bring it, but I had no one to drive it through for me, and I was desperate to take the Tipo.

a couple of people asked me where it was actually 😂

Well, got me all nostalgic. This might be the first year you took it, parked next to me.

My god, that must have been the first one I took it too, with the standard wheels still on it- and I have hair.

that was the condition it was in before I had it painted etc.

Any idea who the supplying dealer for the other Tipo was?  Reg number suggests Glasgow.

I was going to say, a Glasgow plated Tipo must be an absolutely astonishing survivor these days.

There weren't a huge amount of Fiat dealers in the area from memory, we had one in Paisley.

^^I'm trying to remember where my 126 came from! Deffo Glasgow, and it wasn't Arnold.

The guy bought it brand new, sold it and bought it back and restored it.
In have his mobile no, so I’ll ask him and report back when I find out

My old 126 was a Hamilton Brothers car, it was H207 AYS.

One my Dad's co-workers was Scottish & owned an Lancia.  He ended up being banned from both the dealers in Glasgow & Edinburgh because he took in to them both too many times to have things sorted out!

He liked business trips down to Manchester because he could get his car serviced there!
