Isn't this one of the exhibits Gaydon flogged off a few years back? I also vaguely remember seeing it crop up on eBay for "parts" some time after.

It doesn't look as well thought out as a lot of sectioned exhibits you see. More like they got someone at the factory to just take chunks out of it here and there as the mood took them!

When I was going to Uxbridge Tech they had a Ford Classic rigged up as as a chassis with, I think, some cut away components that had been at some motor show.

Maybe a college could make use of the Rover?

How weird.... supposedly done at the factory, yet the part-passenger seat is worn as though someone has parked their part-backside on it?

 

But yeah does look a little like an afternoon with a £300 snotter, a grinder and some beer. Hardly motorshow material!

This was at the 1992 NEC show? I think I was at that show, and there is something familiar about the cut away door panels, I`ve a suspicion I remember actually seeing this on display. It does look like the kind of cutaway stuff they had back then.
