Found a slot and pulled up neatly behind a new Disco. *Brake lights ON Disco = OK just pulling forward/out 🤔 >> err, NO - - flash of REVERSING lights and he gently moves the foot back to my bumper and stops [yeah, using me 🤬🤬]... I'm parked, handbrake on, foot brake on, P selected... he's pushing against my car, at least two grunts!!

Am I rong but should he have had his Rev Bleepers screaming at him 👍👀

I gave him the Vx brass bugle.... Loud & Long 👺

Rev lights out and vroom >>> he's gone.

The arse of his is a big plastic tea tray so, thankfully, no damage anywhere T.F.

4:30 today.... 5 mins and techy pops up... 'fail M9' .. your clutch is not cutting in, but you do have pressure.

Astra web is lore has any amount of 'clues n tips' but a Biggie is *possibly the actual compressor cabling plug [... the wiggling of!!]

TBH..... Never *use A/C 😮

Only owned two cars with it.... I got a re-gas of MrGetz (actually a free pre-charge, to see where the old stuff had gone 🤣) and during the 7 days it took to leak away I had the a/c on a few times, it being quite sunny.

SWMBO complained it was 'chilly in here!' 🙄

I think sweltering*occasionally and saving the costs involved is a 'Least Moans per mile' no brainer.... Quick Fit have refunded my card today 👍

New CAT back pipe [for leaking]....

A little while ago my 'tame' spanner man fitted an eBay back box ....

Now... 🫤... we have a blow at the CAT back/secondary box pipe section join ! The only piece of Ex that hasn't been changed.

I like that it is in two pieces because

#1. More wriggle room...

#2. IF the estate wheelbase makes it tooShort = tooSavvy has pipe + equipment for MORE wriggle room (7.25" longer on Estate 😮)

Pipe arrived.... 2" od.

5 days rain on the horizon so no working outside...

Mainly I need to mock the new pipe against my Estate pipework to ascertain where to 'snip in' the missing 7 1/4" of wheelbase 🤔

Because *simple tubes.... 🛠️

With my extension tube [10"] I can shift the rear axle kink along the floor.... But any change causes the pre fitted loop brackets to move apart = not good.

 

Someone on here demonstrated a *bodge fix, using a U clamp, to replicate a rubber loop bracket on a section of exhaust... I looked + learned!!

Once everything has been spaced out, to Estate dimensions, I shall fix that second loop clamp - using the fix described, having cut off the original 👍

I'm actually somewhat confused about the 'section' found too short.... I imagined (with the rear axle moving further back, rather than as saloon) the standard over axle pipe bend would be the issue NOT just a fix by lengthening the back box pipe 🤔

Y'know..... That there A696 is a bu99er 😮

It has some epic straights, and provides bends you can 'see beyond of', enticing one to Let the dog see the Rabbit ⚡🚀

After shuffling around a few tractors + trailers, having been held up and fore traffic thence disappeared over the horizon ...

I loaded several extra shovelfuls of coal .. no police men on here I'm sure .. and some numbers had the dust swept off them 😎.

*I'm not always in the 'not over 43 at weekends' corner = totally silent + sheep looking like strings of pearls, in the corner of my eye.
