Citroen 2CV bits for freeeeeee - GONE

Well i collected this little lot earlier of freecycle, They are off no good to me as i don't own a 2CV but i know that a few of you boys on here do so i thought they might help.

Now idea if any of it works, the owner collected it all when she owned one many years ago but since then they have been in the shed.

I was half tempted to ebay it but that's not what freecycle is about, Included are a few starter motors, Coils, front and rear lights, Seatbelts, instrument panels, door locks with key, wheel caps, Bumper overriders, sunvisors, Mirrors etc.

What you see is what you get, and it's collection or i can meet very locally.

I've got thousands of those bloomin' hubcaps. I've no idea how I've amassed quite so many! I'll spread the word...

Cheers Ian, I don't know if any of it's worth anything but i don't want people saying they want it just to see it on ebay next week...Any good to you Angrydicky?

I'd be keen on the lot or at least, the large speedometer and maybe the ignition coil, switch and rear light covers.Just wondering if there's any way they could be relayed to a Citroen rally I'm going to? There's one next weekend at Wetherby and one in weekend of July 17th at Gaydon.Just on the off chance!Graeme

Hey,Were goin to be trying to get my Mums old 2cv back on the road ASAP and these bits would come in so handy in the resto! if theres anything still available wed love to take it, and they won t end up on the bay, they will either be used or anything we have no use for will be passed on for free to another 2cv owner through this site probably!cheers,Dan

Oh dear Mrs Trigger looks bored! Incidentally although there are a few things I can see I could do with straightaway, if there is anything that could be of use to a fellow 2CV owner I don't mind passing it on for the cost of postage or collection. I have three coils for example :)Nice pics! Dolly says thank you Trigger :D

Mrs. Trigger was busy looking through my text messages and photos on my phone... :?

I'm sure there were only a few pictures of Talbot Tagoras and Austin Metros on there.... :?

I'd keep at least one coil with you as a spare at all times. When they fail, you'll get major hot starting issues. 3 may be excessive though I admit!

Good work Trigger.

Familiar-looking Victor too, as seen by me in Suffolk last month:

Great picture SL! My parents went camping somewhere near Felixstowe in it last month with a vintage trailer tent, unfortunately it kept overheating, apart from that it was pretty reliable by all accounts :)

Edit - my dad says he thinks it was taken in a carpark by a Budgens store, he can't remember where it was though.

I thought i had seen that Victor before!, Your dad was telling me about how he had been away in it with his trailer tent.

It was also spotted by someone a few months ago at Brooklands.

I too saw that Victor in Brooklands, sadly it got turned away at the entrance, and I was unable to get a shot as I had walked to the show, its truly a beauty!

Yeah that's right, the git on the gate wouldn't let it in as it wasn't an Austin or Morris, still it formed another car show in the carpark with a Rover P4 and a Wolseley 16/60 ;)Thanks for the comments about it, nice FB's are getting very rare now. This one was owned by an old guy in Ilford from new until 1989, we still have all the original paperwork for it, supplied new by Jessups of Stratford, London. The second owner, his neighbour, spent an absolute fortune restoring the car, including £2k having the interior retrimmed in leather  It is a truly lovely car, my dads pride and joy :D

I find it somewhat odd that the Victor wasnt allowed into the Austin Morris day yet there was Nova kitcar let in during Auto Italia...

That just about sums Brooklands up...Anyway, my dad says thanks to people on here for your interest and the pictures, nice that people appreciate classic cars that are a bit different from the usual rows of MGB's and Stags :D

Thanks. I saw it in a public car park in Woodbridge.
