bangernomics Posted July 10, 2025 Author Posted July 10, 2025 I’m using a track saw but per my usual MO the track is a bit short. Need another set when I go to screwfix again in september. It isn’t so bad just a pfaff moving it about twice for one cut.Nearly there just another two skirt board cuts then onto the uprights. Will be decorated this weekend with a good wind. Then an “easy” week for the floor and trimming up the cabinet. Wibble 1
bangernomics Posted July 10, 2025 Author Posted July 10, 2025 May actually do some car based stuff this year other than basic service and CT not that I am complaining.
bangernomics Posted July 12, 2025 Author Posted July 12, 2025 More slicing and gluing later. On schedule for paint to start tomorrow. High Jetter and paulplom 2
bangernomics Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 She’s started the daubing stage. Shite shelf made from some leftover t&g chipboard flooring. Need to figure out a home steaming method for the trim. To get round this corner, a pan and a lid should do it? Saabnut 1
bangernomics Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 Well that was much easier than expected. paulplom, mk2_craig, stuboy and 4 others 7
bangernomics Posted July 15, 2025 Author Posted July 15, 2025 Getting there now. Quality cupboard is back together. Need to figure out what to do with the beam, cream paint and wax is the plan. beko1987 Posted July 17, 2025 Posted July 17, 2025 Im guessing that shark has almost no suction left now after being used for a house reno? 😂 abir246 1
bangernomics Posted July 18, 2025 Author Posted July 18, 2025 Im guessing that shark has almost no suction left now after being used for a house reno? Funny enough it is excellent still after a few years. 3 sets of filters that we wash after each use and replace every couple of years seems to work well. It is about 5/6 years old now although yes I think they suck all the shite through the motor given half a chance so miracle. The bolloxed french supermarket own brand thing is totally asthmatic after living on the end of a chopsaw though.
bangernomics Posted July 18, 2025 Author Posted July 18, 2025 Had CBA after a tough work week so got not far with the floor. Tomorrow is another day. I need some kneepads. Bear 1
bangernomics Posted July 19, 2025 Author Posted July 19, 2025 Floor in. I’ll make some skirts and trim up tomorrow. Just a piece of wood for the curtain rail, two sockets to replace and I am out of there ready for Mrs B to fill it full of things. Wibble, Keymaster, Coprolalia and 3 others 6
bangernomics Posted August 10, 2025 Author Posted August 10, 2025 Went to the mower racing today. Spotted a few bits of quality. CaptainBoom and Dyslexic Viking 2

bangernomics Posted August 22, 2025 Author Posted August 22, 2025 Dullest failure ever? Washer pump not producing much more than a piddly dribble. Makes the same noise though? Pulled it apart and it has one motor and some witchcraft that feeds both outlets? Maybe theres a pair of earths and the gubbins moves left or right? I pulled it apart in the most awkward way as these things are not designed to be fixed and it has a plunger with two bits of rubber one on each end which if it moves would shut off the outlets. Maybe a magnet polarised by the earths? Anyway it didn’t work so temu to the rescue and 3 or so days later…. New one landed this morning so will throw it on and dissect the old one further. Pics of not so interesting stuff to follow.

When the motor rotates one way water is sprayed over the front screen, when it turns the other way, over the rear. High Jetter, bangernomics and DSdriver 2 1

bangernomics Posted September 21, 2025 Author Posted September 21, 2025 Pumpy stopped pumping again. Luckily it has bounced down the last couple of days so need to order a better one rather than the chinesium one that landed last.
bangernomics Posted October 12, 2025 Author Posted October 12, 2025 Leaf tyre shocker or boring update alert. Apparently this bastard caught a screw and got a slowie which is entirely the fault of Benzyl Looked at the pick he sent to me and said hmm that looks a bit split too. Zooming in oh dear it really is. Pair ordered for fitting on Tuesday. Fought the urge to fit £50 deathrings and went for £100 deathrings instead.
bangernomics Posted October 12, 2025 Author Posted October 12, 2025 In other news decided we need to add some airflow into the old place. Only issue is the walls are about 750/800mm thick. Off to the brico for a mouseproof vent.
bangernomics Posted November 12, 2025 Author Posted November 12, 2025 A nice clean pass. mercedade, loserone, Flat4 and 3 others 2 4

bangernomics Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 Balls Polo MOT expired and I forgot to remember. Bastard MIL lit for a glowplug error (I think no1) so light off, two restarts off then third back on. Will need to reset as I get to the station on Monday if he can squeeze me in. Dads 75th tomorrow so need to go say hello too. What do you buy a 75yr old? He really wants to go to Matthewsons but its miles away so that means an overnight somewhere too. Any recommendations?
bangernomics Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 Also the roffle plate needed using so I added it to the green lad.I’m currently painting skirts for the kitchen that hasn’t got a kitchen until January. Rock n roll etc. Dave_Q 1

When we were looking a couple of years back we'd have gone for a guest house in Whitby that has a big scalextric layout that guests van use. Then steam train to Pickering and walk or bus to Matthewsons. Our plans didn't happen, sadly. bangernomics 1
