I'm pretty sure they are but i'm a bit of an idiot so I might be wrong. IIRC Crayford had some deal to build or import the open version over here, I think they sold about 6. anyway, this:

is an Acoma Mini-Comtess, and it is absolutely ace! Built-in castors to stop you tipping it over for the mental French win! I'd love to have a poke around that guys micro collection, I bet he's got some absolute gems in there.

Also, I pretty much want every car you posted up (i'm terribly fickle), but that early BX looks really great. I've only just come around to how cool those things look, and now I've started fantasizing about owning a mega-early beige one. what a weirdo.

the bloke restores microcars for a living although i didnt get pics of inside his barn there was a good 40 or 50 mint examples on display :lol:

any ideas if this a Terra, Fura or something else

It's a 127 based Fiorino, last of the original style but based on the MkIII 127 by the looks of it. It could possibly be a Seat Fura 127 van, but I doubt it.

 

Great pics, the French certainly produced some wacky contraptions! 8)

Say hello to an Ol' Friend of mine..

 

well this came home today, my ol' gtd, not quite what it was engines now duff and wont fire, poss 1.9 tdi conversion anyone ;D

 

reason i got it back was for its 14" steels, the front however are bald.. grrr

i then blinner the flaps and rolled like this then sold it, regreted this one as it was a great car like (plus its done 434,000 then the mileometer broke)

you'll be surprised as in france unlicensed people (banned etc or not took a test) can drive one of these so you see afew, in the local town you see the pikeys 4 up in them at the tip :lol:

Seriously? They must be insured in some way though?

i'm sure you can get insurance, as i could on the moped and that had no plates :) (although all new mopeds now have to carry a number plate)
