I was the librarian responsible for all MoD documentations that were required for the commissioning of Weapons Systems [pre wiring] on board. I have been bodging the ramp deficit with steel plates/blocks, shallower attack but really a bit too low 🙄. Today, I grasped the nettle and modded the ramps to accept the steel plates (with a block of wood to shore it up) and secured with a thru bolt pin ✔️👍.
