Fair play, the marketing bloke who came up with the name needs help, but look at this little honey

It's like a half scale UAZ

Its 11bhp engine shows that its built to replace this kind of thing rather than be taken round the 'ring

And with the Tata Nano, the Tata Ace (pickup truck) and this Magic it seems they're copying the business model of Suzuki in the early '80s - lots of different types of vehicle and see which takes off.

Wonder if we'll see them in the UK? And the same for Chinese cars?

That looks GR9 4 STOPPIES!

From its maximum speed of 34mph? You might be overestimating the work put into the brakes tbh....

doubt the tata will do well in it's homeland... if it cant hold 15 kids and grandparents then they aren't interested :D

I love that thing - it's so beyond the pale crap that it's actually amazing.Though that UAZ thing is monsterously great - this is a double want!

I think a car/van with 11bhp makes a lot of sense! give em to teenagers to drive for a year till theyve learned not to smash into stuff every 50 yards.

You wouldn't want a couple of fatties in the front, It looks rear wheel drive so I'd doubt you'd get much traction!.

Isn't the engine in the rear?

It's good to see the Indian motor industry allowing people to become more mobile, but crikey it's a challenging looking thing.

Possibly, I never thought about the engine! mind you it could be under the drivers seat, I don't have a clue really without googling it.Though i can't imagine it weighing much more than a strimmer engine with only 11 bhp!

Yuh know, this may be a myth but wasn't there concern that the nano couldn't be sold elsewhere without lots of changes to meet the Euro safety standards?I doubt it would be allowed on the M-way! Loking at the size of the wheels I keep wondering if it's actually got a really huge body!

Posted

That looks interesting. Reminisent of those 60's/70's Japanese microvans, both in style and performance

I believe it's got 10 inch crossplies or 12 inch radialsHalfords are probably offering 20 inch alloys for them already

god! probably!I didn't notice at first but it has 'soft' side windows - kinda roll-up stylee. It's so crap that it's loveable - wonder if another lump could be dropped in to make it go.

Only come in one colour? :) At first I was "that's actually surprisingly plush inside" but those interior shots are of something else surely

Posted

Yeah I've just noticed that!, Just edited it, The outline of the window gave it away.I thought iwas a bit too nice inside!.

man what a ugly fucker, shite in its best form  would i want one, only once i'm blind and no longer enjoy life 8)

Coool, just like a tent. Only slower.

What, like a magimix motor?

What, like a magimix motor?

only if that's bigger than what its got!

I believe those wheels are actually Oreo cookies, and behind each one is a cotton reel with a slice of candle-wax to control the wound rubberbands in each hub assembly. There IS no motor.... Actually, I think it's kinda cute !! I can see them pottering round this island where it's impossible to speed over 35mph for fear of disappearing down a pothole. 8)

Front looks like its really surprised , probably just seen itself in the mirror

I love flat-fronted vans but sadly the safety bods don't.
