My W123 230E is 25 years old today!

My Merc was first registered on the 1st of April 1985, exactly 25 years ago.

Unfortunately, on route to work this morning, whilst going around a roundabout, my little boy's car seat base flew across the boot and dented the rear quarter panel outwards. It's only a little ding but it cracked the paint. :(

Here's a shot of the car, for those of you who haven't seen it before, with my wife standing alongside and little Charlie perched on the bonnet.

Great family car! Though I suspect the 'sporthatch' is the chariot of choice most of the time?

A very frustrating injury, I had much the same happen with one of my BMW's, giving it some beans exiting a roundabout, suddenly remembered the trolley jack in the boot, by which time it was too late.

No sir! The Megane is my wife's car. Whenever we go out together we always take the Merc. During the week I usually drive the MR2 to work and back.

Don't remind me. I am fucking annoyed as hell about the ding. Whilst the bodywork on the Merc has the odd scab here and there, the flanks were generally straight and tidy. Now there's a fucking lump in the rear wing. I will attempt to tap the lump back in with a hammer, obviously with a piece of wood in between. Arghhhhh!

Peter I really like the Merc, I think they must be the prettiest wheel trims ever. Maybe you should drive the Merc to Poland? then again bad idea-there is a big market for German car parts.

Open debate but you have the favorite to win.Alternatives: W124, W126, W116.This lad's car is brilliant. Haven't seen one in such nice shape in many moons. Family looks confused (too nice/attractive to be hanging out with a shiter?) :D
