Radio Codes

A mates Rover 600 has lost it's radio code. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the generator programme for phillips radios. I'll try and get the radio out of the car to get the seriel numbr off it.All help is much appreciated!

lost the code for my Escort XR3i as well.Took to it the garage and they took the battery out and now the radio doesnt work.I wouldnt care so much as I have a CD player for it to go in sometime soon, but as its the original radio cassete for the car and the cars totally original I wouldnt mind keeping it with the car when I sell it.

If you send me the serial number from your Ford radio, I'll see if my code thingy works.

you used to be able to phone rover with the VIN and they could tell you over the phone, any ex Rover dealers in your area? might be worth asking them

I can e-mail anyone the Ford decoder if they want it :D

Philips codes can't be calculated from serial number, if you can't find somebody with access to the database you'll have to take it to a shop.Fords are easy though.

Aye, you need to read the eeprom on the cicruit board. Everything else (Blaupunkt, Grundig, etc) can be done easily.

Thanks Whitevanman, but windows live is being all stupid and won't let me save it as it is "harmfull" or something
