Can I just say - my wife hates themDOUBLE RESULT :D

So does my daughter, but if you want Daddy to fix your car you'll have to put up with his eccentric habit of fitting these yellow headlights to your car... She has admitted that they're better in fog and snow and that her friends all notice her car... Sounds like 3 excellent reasons for fitting them IMHOLife's a bitch sometimes...

Thanks to all of you who have been in touch about your yellow bulb covers! Amazingly none were damaged in the post, either!I'm now in a position to supply some yellow 55 watt H1 halogen bulbs, if anyone's interested. I also hope to have some yellow H3 55 watt halogens soon. Please pm me if you're interested.

What do these look like then? And more to the point, will they fit my Sprinter?

H3 is similar to H1 but has the terminal on a trailing wire. H7 looks a bit like H4 but is smaller and only has two terminals.

The yellow H1 bulbs are as per Mr Lobster's first photograph, although they have yellow glass. I've sold several to 25v6Turbo, who's happy with them. Hope this helps everyone!

I might have to remove the covers from the BX. The headlights are now piss poor! Bit peculiar as it hasn't really had an effect on either the Renault or 2CV.

Yeah, but BX headlights were piss poor out of the factory. I could drive around on main beam and no one thought they were on full wap at all.The insertion of a pair of relays and new wiring from the battery on the TGD made the world of difference - they were fed straight from the battery and used the original switched 12v as the switch for the relay. Jobbed. The yellow bulbs have made a little bit of difference to the Micra output, but its not that noticable.

I always thought the BX was actually pretty good. Maybe the Renault's just a lot better...Relays sound good.

Ah, handy reminder. I'm an idiot and I'd failed to get the bulbs back into the BX properly. Having had another go, I can now see at night. Oops...

Yes, I must admit when I get back home in the GSA, and the evening sunlight is shining into the headlamps of the BX on the drive it looks GR8! Ditto whenever I look at the GSA on a forecourt when I'm paying for petrol.I've had some random people flashing me. Not many, but every so often. I don't know whether that means:1) Corrr2) Oi, they're not allowed3) Your headlights are misaligned and are dazzling me, foolI know you're supposed to get alignment checked whenever you change a headlamp bulb... I've stood a distance away and they look okay to me. That reminds me I was going to ask my other half to drive down the road as I'm coming up to check for dazzle... I know the OS is slightly higher than the NS, looking at the reflected light in the shiny bumpers of new cars in traffic...Mark.
