I think that car is a Triumph Super Seven. Seriously rare little car; only eleven surviving in the UK.

'The Largest'!!!

The DDR's finest spark plug, originally run by Siemens it became VEB Keramische Werke Hermsdorf (Ceramics Factory Hermsdorf) after the war. My (new) MZ's came with Isolator plugs, they were OK and lasted as long as any other two stroke plug, but replacing with a Champion of NGK did make a slight, but noticeable difference in performance, in particular smoother running.  Would your average generic yank tank be that sensitive?

After a little research, that's a Triumph Scorpion. The Super Seven was four cylinder 832cc and 747cc and the Scorpion was six cylinder 1203cc.

Normally more cylinders means more power. In this case it was the opposite. These were slower than the four cylinder cars!

Apparently there was a trend for 6 cylinder cars at the time, but they kept the power down to keep it in 8hp RAC rating for taxation purposes. Some of the four cylinder engines were supercharged on the smaller capacity ones.
