Dull licence question

When you've been banned for accumulating twelve points what happens when you get more after your licence is returned? One of the other engineers at work was banned for two months from August for five speeding offences (he got the fifth while he was begging to keep his licence after the fourth). He must have had a bloody good lawyer to get away with two months.Last week he got caught again. Will he get banned again?

He should do just for being a mong. How can you get caught that many times? I've driven at whatever speed I've deemed apropriate, most often above the limit for years and years and only ever been caught twice and one of those I got away with! I reckon he needs to pay more attention!

If it's a ban through totting up (going over 12 points), you start again from zero when the ban period is over. For a very serious offence, it's possible to get a ban AND some points. The ban takes effect first, and then when the licence is 'returned' six points are applied to it. In this case, the ban was not a result of totting up but part of the punishment in it's own right.

Absolutely! Good job there are not bans for being a mong, some people would never drive again. Oh wait, that's not a bad thing is it?

I've been banned through totting up 12 points. The six month ban was the most horrific period of my life (buses and trains, gah!) and I vowed never to acquire any points on my license again, but I already have six more.I mong.

There's a lot to be said for only having a vehicle in a company name, and a clean license

I don't know how I manage it, there aren't even any fixed speed cameras in this region. I always get tickets when I'm far away from home on unfamiliar roads.Richard, was his license 'wiped clean' after the ban? That's what happened to mine.

I don't know, and I can't ask him because he doesn't know about the latest one yet.

I must admit I have been banned for speeding for a whole two weeks a long time ago.... In fact I was caught by a Police Capri on the East Lancs Rd! God I feel old. :(

I got six points for not providing a producer at a station because the policeman was being a complete arsehole, so I didn't bother going back and got them through the post. I was 24 and didn't care.I then got 3 points for a speeding camera, doing 35, without even realising I was speeding. I then had six points taken off and then got 6 on literally days after for letting my girlfriend drive my car around an abandoned industrial estate as she had her test the next day. A bell-end copper decides to do his job's worth and 'cautions' us. There is a two or three month limit on receiving a court summons. We received our's the day before the three month limit was up (the motherfucking cockgobbler).I received 6 points and a 150 quid fine. My girlfriend received the same and had her licence revoked as she had passed her test three months prior. The bloke who went in before me who beat his girlfriend up on a drugged and drunken night out and she landed in hospital got a 250 quid fine.-CUNTS-

I've been banned in the past. Um, more than once. Always for totting up. Not had any points on my licence for nigh-on 10 years now.

Rhyl. Definitely a place to avoid at all costs, for many different reasons. I got a motoring conviction and I wasn't even driving the car, jesus.

I never used to produce my documents. The last time I was done for speeding the policewoman on the desk got quite arsey when I said I wasn't producing my licence. I was only there because the car wasn't mine and I didn't want them chasing my boss for the car's documents.

Aren't North Wales Filth famous for being absolute bastards when it comes to motoring misdemeanours?

Yup, utter UTTER BASTARDS. Because it's cheaper & easier to put up loads of stealthy scameras than to actually deal with the rampaging criminality of the of retarded, impoverished local populace.
