Sorted, got it set to record. Great film!!!There's a motoring anachronysm in it. The film's set in 1964, but legend has it that someone on the production team thought the Alfa didn't sound sporty enough, so had a rally car & driver record each and every gearchange perfectly. I believe the job was done by Tony Fall and his Escort TC/RS1600...

Eh? where do you start! the film's full of 1970s Euro grot in the back ground Pug 504s and Citroen GSs to say the least!Still a good film though (not to mention novel)

Watched this a few times it's been on. Love the bodge spray job using the car battery (which turns out to be perfect), and numerous other shite bodge jobs. What was he doing under the car with the pipe?

Not completely unrelated, but near enough.

I caught 'The Saint' on telly the other day, set in France it was. Rog was smokin' about in a Lancia Flaminia Cabrio.

One of these was dressed up as an Aston DB4 Volante and tipped over the side of a ravine in the Italian Job. Lovely job with the alloy V6.
