Bluebird parts

Was contacted about a theatre project that want to put a Nissan Bluebird on stage for a production. It will be in february and it seems they have found the car (1988 saloon) so to prep it we have to remove the running gear, glass and (don't shoot me!) cut it up to get it in situ. Obviously I don't want anything to go to waste, so would anybody be needing bits? As above (it's a runner but no T&T thank god) and the body parts will also be disposed of after the production.

Sounds like Pandamonium's the man for this, should be plenty of bits which would be handy stashed away for my old one of similar vintage he's now got.

Well if anything at all will be any use, I am happy for it to go to some use, instead of just getting scrapped.

Can't they use something else 80's that's no good for banger racing instead? I'll do them a swap for the bluey, and provide them with something already stripped??!!!

Hey Fred, I could do with the dizzy & cap if poss, The screws that hold the cap on mine are corroded in and I haven't had time to spend getting them out yet. I guess I could drill them out and then get new screws if the threads are o.k or use cable ties if not.I could also use a rocker switch from the dash (to make the electric aerial manual) and the rear exhaust section but I appreciate postage on this would be an issue!CheersRG

Thing is it's got to look like a car (or most of it) not an oval victim. The reason they want a bluey is that's the title of the play. I did suggest they call it Mondeo but they didn't like that idea.........

Where are you cos they defo won't need the exhaust on stage. Other little bits are not an issue.

Not sure if I need any specific bits yet (everything seems to work!) but if anything is being thrown away I'm sure an Autoshite home can be found :)

Well that's my aim, I don't want anything throwing away!

Ooh! Just remembered! I am desperately in need of some door mirrors. The glass in mine is shattered on both, and has had replacement ones stuck over the top. Careful though, cos they break easily, as I found out in a scrapyard in Gosforth, trying to prise some glass out.

The doors may not be used on stage, so I could take the mirrors off.
