Think I mentioned catching a fleeting glimpse of this over the summer. Managed to have a quick chat with the thoroughly pleasant owner this morning and apparently it will be for sale in the spring! Unfortunately it was freezing cold, raining and the owner was understandably in a hurry so I can’t give detailed accounts of specific areas. I’ve had a quick look not carried out an inspection.

It appears to wear its 96,000 miles very well indeed. The interior looked superb and I’m told all it needed for the last MOT was a CV boot. The O/S front outer arch apparently has some fibreglass in it but it appears to have been very neatly done. The paint is much better than it appears in the photos, i.e. it’s not several shades of red, but bear in mind it was raining heavily so I can’t vouch for its overall condition. O/S rear door moulding coming adrift, didn’t check out why. Apparently 4WD had been in use on the ice this morning.

A few important things:

1. Sorry but I’ve no way of getting in touch with the owner to ask questions. He asked for my name and number though and has promised to phone when it’s up for sale.

2. He doesn’t know how much he wants yet.

3. He’s selling to fund bike projects.

4. The car’s in Staffordshire Moorlands.

5. The photos don't do it justice. It looks fantastic!

I will of course post an update if and when I hear from the owner. Inclinometer? Suit you sir :D

^ Assuming I hear back from the owner and Mr B wants it (do you want it sir etc.) can collect from local train stations. Crewe to Derby line would be the answer here.EDIT Having just read the 4x4 thread below this probably isn't what Mr B has in mind. There's a tow bar right enough but this really isn't a load hauler

Thats no good for A-framing, however it is mega cool in its own right. How much is it, any idea?

A workmate had one of those about 18 years ago,it easily dragged my V8 Granada home in the snow after it blew a top hose

I did ask but he hadn't decided. Seems he's more into bikes than cars, so I'd say there's good chance I'll get a call when the weather improves. Fair weather rider jokes aside I'll post an update if he calls :)

For sale notice now in the rear screen. No price hinted at, says offers. PM me and I'll pass on the mobile number to any interested parties. It's seen a bit of paint here and there, the O/S rear door moulding's coming adrift and there's slight bubbling along the tailgate lip. Other than that it looks very good indeed 8)
