Foreign street scenes

I've been enjoying the old street scene threads, so I thought I'd start one for people to share their holiday snaps.

I.e another excuse to post pics of old rammle in street surroundings  .

Following on from the Romanian pics and wondering whether it was still chock full of shite, I thought I'd check out my own meagre photo collection. I have to be very sneaky with the camera abroad to capture shite while my other half's not looking!

Here's Warsaw in March 2007:

But this gives the wrong impression really, because it was more like this mostly:

This was the view from our hotel room in Tallinn in March 2008.

EDIT: missed it off! here it is

Again, boring (apart from the snow!) There really wasn't much of note shite-wise in Tallinn. More soon when I've had a sort through. Tunisia next!

If anyone wants me to, i can repost all the norway pictures i have.I have some more lurking on my phone too i think. But anyway, norway was full of 80s and 90s tat, not too many new cars although i was mostly in the northern part of the country, in fact at one point i was staying at Kirkenes which is a few miles (or kilometers) from Russia. The highlight car wise, was a (what i can remember) a silver Senator B.I managed to buy a used car magazine, somewhat like autotrader but specifically for cheap cars. Cars are expensive out there..... 1000 pounds is pretty much the lowest price you can get anything with the few exceptions, mostly high mileage MKIII golfs.

Abroad is really disappointing these days. THe last two places I have been are:Barcelona - no Ebro vans, Pegaso buses or FIAT-based SEAT cars. Just a load of modern mainly SEATs, exactly the same as you see in England.Morocco - you'd think an ex-French colony would look like a 1970s French spy film, but sadly not. No R12s, 14s, 16s, virtually no P504s or Citroen GSs. Just a load of modern euroboxes, with the only interest provided by FIAT Palios - a sort of modernised Uno.

Some of the smaller Greek islands can still be fairly productive hunting grounds for tat lovers!

Say if I took a flight over to Prague or whatever (for about 20 quid), and then saw something I liked for sale, could I drive it back over? I'm not sure on the legalities of it all with customs and owned a foreign plated car.

Within Europe it shouldn't be a problem. Theres a few people on here brought cars back from France / Italy.I quite fancy finding a Seat Malaga in Spain somewhere and driving it back.As long as you sort insurance and whatever other legal bits then there shouldn't be any problem.

It will cost you nearly £20 to get from the airport to Prague itself.

I was dissapointed by the lack of shite in ex-eastern bloc cities I have been to. I guess we can't expect them to still be driving around in 20+ year old motors. I remember Prague back in 2000, I stayed in the suburbs which was about 50/50 commie tat / modern shit. I recon if you went to rural Romania or something you would see a fair bit though.Incidentally, are DDR 2-stroke motors now banned from German cities?

actually, from Prague (Ruzne) airport into Prague is only 25Kc (Czech Crowns) on bus # 119, which takes you to Djevicka, where you can still use the same ticket to join the metro into the city centre. This special price ticket is available at the airport.25 Kc = almost one POUND ! - and believe me, Prague is chock full of Atoshite alongside all the Vettes and Porches etc etc !!
