The curious tale of free car storage...or a intact shell?

Hi Everyone

I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a 2005 Ford Ka on SORN stored on a friend's allocated, off road parking space outside her house. This suited both of us for a while as i intended to sort the Ka out when funds allowed and she has chronic Anxiety problems so having her allocated parking filled with a "safe" car ticked all boxes for both parties.

However, fate has intervened. The Ka is a fairly low miler and i think it would do better with a new owner to nurse it back to health and through an MOT and i have badly stubbed my toe which is making work a no-no as i walk miles in steel toe cap boots in a huge warehouse scrubbing toilets etc, so have lost a weeks money and am about to go on a week's statutory sick pay meaning i am living off dwindling savings.

So, to cut a long story short,  i am weighing options up. I am likely going to try the Ka on here and ebay as it's a two owner (i was the second) peach that needs a caring owner, as much as i need the readies. That leaves a trigger-inducing space on my friend's drive.

When i first parked the car there, the property above her's had been empty for 18 months and the parking space next to it had a Peugeot 406 that had been there so long it had practically fused to the tarmac, because the elderly owner (her next door neighbour) was in poor health.

The flat above has been sold and her neighbour had to move to a home AFAIK. The 406 got lifted away just before Xmas and new (rental) neighbours moved in, and they own about eleventy cars between them, from a Jag XF to a Golf and she is terrified of dealing with them if they park on her property as apparently they are arses.

So, i'm just putting feelers out to ask if anyone has something like a dirt cheap intact wreck (it doesn't even need to have an engine!) they could deliver to Milton Keynes for less than £100 (cheaper the better) so i can release the Ka (the less likely option) or something that is causing domestic ire by being parked outside their place and needs long term free storage.

I feel awful for having to put a friend through this and am just trying to even things out as she is very vulnerable and i am quite protective of her. :(

The parking is in a fairly decent area of MK!

I've still got to get the Ka listed and shifted off her drive as it's got a dead battery and not moved for a few months but if any of you two want to PM me with a proposal, maybe we could talk...the longer term, the better it would seem...

Much as I like the idea of dumping a complete heap on your friend's drive, just to wind up the neighbours; in your position(s) I'd be tempted to ask for at least a token amount.

worst case she can get on ebay /gumtrree etc and buy the cheapest trailor that someone can deliver , dump that there

Can she not get one of them parking posts fitted? The one that folds down so you can put a motor there if need be. That’ll stop anyone parking there
