Welcome back :)

What became of the 14? I love those cars!

The Astra is fantastic, the rear arches are the first place to go and yours look mint. What a lovely gift, enjoy!

Thanks. Yes I was quite choked up when he told me about it.

The 14 quite tatty but got through two MOTs. I had the intention of having the underside treated but didn't get round to it and the suspension was being held together by rust in it's third year with me. It sold it to someone who could weld, I was quoted £1,000 and couldn't afford that. The next thing I know is a video appears of a LHD Renault 14 being banger raced.

I would sorely love another but I doubt it will happen. I would certainly get it treated if I did this time.

I will get the Astra done as I know there is some rust underneath.

I will enjoy it when I get over the paranoia about it being stolen 😂

Just wondering if the Astra is one of the Vauxhalls with a hidden shark moulded into some obscure plastic trim such as under the glove box?

I think that started with the Corsa D. Me and my partner managed to keep our 7 year old occupied and out of mischief spotting them at a Vauxhall dealer the other week while we were sorting her car 🙂

I didn't think it was that recent, I should have googled before posting!
