What do you think about 90's Alfa Spider/GTV's? I have a 1998 Gtv v6 and a 2002 twin spark spider here in Australia. They are still chod money here at the moment!

Yes I should think so.  They look great and less rust in the sun.

There must be hardly any 80's/90's rear wheel jap stuff that hasn't been turned into a drift "slag/weapon", so a good condition completely standard 200sx or similar must be a good bet (if any exist). In fact any rear wheel drive stuff that has been left standard and not bastardised might be in with a shout, BMW E36 etc.

I really like these Alfa alloys. They remind me of XR3 alloys...

If you want a cheap 200SX you're 10 years too late. If you want a cheap Corolla GT you need to phone 1999 and ask what they have.

Far too much of the same stuff seen at shows etc because that's "where the money is" and people are buying classic cars as investments due to low interest rates on savings.

What happened to just buying cars you liked the look of, as an enthusiast?

Agreed.

For me, the only reason to think about future values is to catch something that’s ‘on my list’ before it zooms out of price range.

The criteria for being on my list are not monetary at all but involve interesting design (especially if ultimately doomed), having moved the game on somehow or just being something I find handsome.

I only just made it with the E30 and perhaps the XJ-S and Lotus Elite.  I have missed out on Citroen SMs and probably classic Range Rovers and NSU Ro80s too, unless very projecty.
